History
WPX Energy, Inc. was a corporate spin-off from the Williams Companies and executed an initial public offering in 2012.[3]
In 2015, the company sold its assets in Argentina for $294 million.[4]
In 2015, the company acquired RKI Exploration & Production, LLC, giving it assets in the Permian Basin.[5]
In 2016, the company announced the sale of its assets in the Piceance Basin in Colorado to Terra Energy Partners for $910 million.[6]
