History

WTLN originally signed on as WLOF, Orlando's second radio station.[1] This station began broadcasting on 1230 kHz AM on October 26, 1940. It switched to 950 kHz and continued to broadcast under this call sign until 1989. During the 1960s and 1970s this station was the leading rock and roll station in Orlando.[2] The station carried the Radio Aahs children's format in the mid-1990s as WZKD.

The WLOF calls today are now used by a Catholic radio station in Buffalo, New York.
