Weah Ephraim Harris (born 22 June 1992) is a Liberian defender that played as Right-back/winger for Swedish club Sidsjö-Böle IF in the north of Sweden. He played for IFK Sundsvall in 2015 and made one goal.He possesses huge defensive work-rate. He first played for neighboring club Söråkers FF in 2014.

Career

Harris started playing football in Ghana on Buduburam refugee camp with Genesis FC before he joined Ghanaian youth side Coastal Warriors FC based in Kasoa district. He developed there as a kid, then left Coastal Warriors FC for nearby club Royal Majestic FC.

Background

Harris was born in Suakoko located in Bong County. His parents are Hanson Harris and Annie Matthew. He is the only male child of his parents, he has two sisters. He first left his homeland in 2003 to seek refuge in Ghana from the civil war in Liberia. While in Ghana he started playing football for a team on the refugee camp before he joined the Ghanaian team called Coastal Warriors FC in Kasoa district.

Education

He attended the Buduburam Senior Secondary School from 2003 to 2005 and completed his senior secondary education with Blessed Wisdom Institute in 2006 in Buduburam camp. In 2009 he gained admission into African Methodist Episcopal University on Camp Johnson Road in Monrovia. He was studying sociology and management before he fled Liberia in 2012.

International

In 2012, Swedish club Härnösand FF assisted Harris to flee his homeland through football. He has been living in Sweden since 2013 and continues to play soccer but not with the saved club. He loves the freedom of Europe and the support he get for his life style. In Liberia it is hard to be who you want to be because of the toughness of the society.

Ephraim is the only member of his family that plays football abroad. His relatives are more into basketball and others are working in the private sectors in Liberia and abroad. He was the first Liberian to come out. The player is also gifted with writing ability and he uses to it write sports.
