Wiadomości (News) is the main news program on TVP1. The main edition is broadcast at 19:30 / 7:30PM every day. This program was created in 1989 and replaced "Dziennik Telewizyjny" (TV Journal), associated with the period of communism in Poland. This is one of the most watched news programs in Poland. In 2010, "Wiadomości" watched by an average of 4.3 million Poles.[1]
Since 2016, the editor-in-chief of "Wiadomości" is Marzena Paczuska. Since the first telecast a letter W serves as the program logo.
