Withernsea High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Withernsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England.[1]
The school was officially opened on Thursday 28 April 1955 by Edward Frederick Lindley Wood, 1st Earl of Halifax.[2] Today it is a community school administered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. In December 2014 works began on a rebuild and refurbishment of the school buildings, with the works due to be completed in summer 2016.[3]
Withernsea High School offers GCSEs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and BTECs.[4] The school also has a specialism in the humanities.
