The Wright SRM is a twin-axle double-decker bus body manufactured by Wrightbus, designed for the Volvo B5LH hybrid chassis. The design is based on the existing New Routemaster, sharing the majority of body panels up to the rear quarter section. As a result of the chassis design, it has no rear staircase or door. It is designed with provincial bus operators in mind, rather than being exclusively for bus operators in London.[1][2][3]
The Wright SRM appears like the existing New Routemaster that it has two double-curvature windscreens with arched top. The first six examples will enter service with London Sovereign on route 13 in September 2016.[1][2][3]
