X Games SnoCross may refer to three racing games licensed by ESPN. Each of the three, based on the X Games' Snocross events, were released in 2002, 2010 and 2012.

2002 game

ESPN Winter X Games Snocross was released on January 17, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. One of two snowmobile racing games released that year, along with EA Sports Big's Sled Storm, the game was developed by Konami.[1] Among the six available riders is X Games gold medalist Tucker Hibbert.[2] The tracks have destructible environments and players can also find shortcuts while racing.[3]

The game has two modes: Snocross and Arcade. Snocross allows for players to compete in X Games-style racing, while Arcade has players attempting to record high scores. X Games Snocross has multiplayer capabilities, though the PS2 version only has two-player racing while the Xbox version can have up to four players.[2][4]

Mobile game

X Games Snocross is a Snocross game from ESPN and 2XL Games that was released on January 18, 2010. SnoCross was the first game demoed on the Apple iPad on stage January 27, 2010 by Scott Forstall.[5]

The game has six tracks to race on and allows players to design their own rider; X Games competitors Levi LaVallee and Heath Frisby also appear in the game.[6] In single-player, the game features an Arcade and Career mode, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth multiplayer capabilities.[7]

Arcade game

In 2012, an arcade game titled Winter X Games Snocross was released. Developed by Raw Thrills, the game debuted in 2012. After a race, players receive a QR code that they can scan to upload their scores to Facebook.[8] When players scan the code, the location of the machine is registered to allow for marketing. Additionally, Raw Thrills created a leaderboard that features stats like best times, best tricks, takedowns, jump distance, airtime and games played.[9]
