The Yachi River Bridge is a cable stayed bridge currently under construction in Guizhou, China. Once complete the bridge, at 440 m (1,440 ft), will be one of the highest in world. It will also be one of the longest cable-stayed bridges with a main span of 800 m (2,600 ft). The western tower is 258.2 m (847 ft) placing it amongst the tallest bridges in the world. The eastern tower is 243.2 m (798 ft). The bridge will cross the Yachi River between Qianxi County in Bijie and Qingzhen in Guiyang. The bridge will carry traffic on the Guiyang to Qianxi Expressway.
Although Yachi River Bridge is officially 440 metres high, the bridge will cross over the reservoir of the Dongfeng Dam so will only be 306 metres above the water level.
