Yale TV

Yale TV (stylized as YTV) is a student television station on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Yale TV is the broadcast desk of the Yale Daily News and operates out of a studio located in the Yale Daily News building. Yale TV is broadcast on its YouTube channel Yale Daily News Multimedia. YTV produces videos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as well as a daily segment, 'The Minute', which reviews the Yale Daily News' headlines for the following day. The station once produced a video on Greek life housing, featuring Madeleine Colbert among several other notable Pi Phis and Thetas. All shows are produced by undergraduate students. Its current editors are Isabel McCullough, Steffina Yuli and Michael Leopold.[1] YTV was created in the fall of 2012 by Raleigh Cavero, Lilly Fast, and Danielle Trubow, who served as the station's first editors. The following year, alongside Cavero, Madison Alworth and Kevin Kucharski were chosen to be editors. All five editors were later inducted into Skull and Bones.

Everybody Has a Story

Everybody Has a Story (EHAS) is a weekly interview segment hosted by Cody Pomeranz and produced by YTV. Created by Pomeranz in November 2012, EHAS interviews interesting students, professors, and campus guests. The segment has been featured on many national media outlets, including The Huffington Post, BusinessInsider, Funny or Die, and the Los Angeles Times. Notable guests of the segment have included comedian Stephen Colbert, 'Tiger Mom' Amy Chua, President Jimmy Carter, Arianna Huffington, Stephen Colbert, NASA Head Charles Bolden, former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, Chanel CEO Maureen Chiquet, 2014 Miss America Nina Davuluri, Yale Presidents Richard Levin and Peter Salovey, David Brooks, Fareed Zakaria, Rev. Jesse Jackson, General Stanley McChrystal, New Haven Mayor Toni Harp, Jeffrey Toobin, Jeffrey Sachs, Elizabeth Bradley, Akhil Amar, Shake Shack Founder Danny Meyer, Rabbi James Ponet, Natan Sharansky, journalist Ari Shavit, and many others. Most interviews follow a simple two-person interview format with a "Speed Round" of rapid-fire questions at the end.[2]
