Yasmin Lee (born June 3, 1983) is a transsexual pornographic film actress[1] and model.

Early life and career

Lee is of Thai, Cambodian and Chinese heritage. She was born into a family of Cambodian refugees. Her parents moved from Thailand to the Philippines before finally settling down in Orange County, California. She joined the U.S. Navy at age 18 but left soon after due to sexuality-based harassment to pursue a career as a drag entertainer and make-up artist.[2] She worked as a make-up artist for Hollywood actresses and music video sets.[3] After beginning to transition, she left her job as a make-up artist due to fear of transphobic discrimination and began work as an assistant on pornography sets. She then worked as a casting director on adult films until she took the place of a woman who did not show up and began her career as an actor in adult films. She has twice been nominated for an AVN Award for her work in transsexual pornography.

In January 2010, Lee announced that she was going to have two surgeries in 2010 – one for an enhanced breast-cup size and another for circumcision.[4]

A regular performer at Kink.com, she won in 2011 the "Kinkiest TGirl Domme" Award.[1][5]

Mainstream appearances

She made her way into mainstream roles with special appearances on various TV shows, including The Maury Povich Show and The Tyra Banks Show. Additionally, she has acted in a few non-pornographic films, such as the 2011 horror film Red Ice and the 2011 comedy The Hangover Part II.[6]

Lee is also an active member of the American Civil Liberties Union and takes part in events related to LGBT rights.[7][8]
