Government Contracting Model
On 7 June 2016, the Land Transport Authority called for tenders to operate 26 routes out of the Seletar Bus Package as part of its new contracting model. Nine services are under this package; if successfully tendered to a bus operator other than SBS Transit, 13 and 72 will be the remaining one SBS Transit service left - which are bundled into Bedok and Tampines bus packages, whereas 529/825 will all come under Sembawang-Yishun bus package. The bus services will be operated by the successful tenderer for a service term of five years, with a possible two-year extension based on good performance. It will also operate and maintain this and Yio Chu Kang Bus Interchange.[1]
