Ytreholmen Lighthouse (Norwegian: Ytterholmen fyr) is a lighthouse in the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway.
History
Ytterholmen Lighthouse is a white, 9-metre (30 ft) tall lighthouse tower which was built in 1910 on the island of Ytterholmen, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) southwest of Gåsvær. The lighthouse was automated in 2003.
The flashing white light sits about 47 metres (154 ft) above sea level atop the lighthouse and it can be seen for about 19 nautical miles (35 km; 22 mi). There is also a secondary light about halfway up the tower. The secondary light is an occulting light in white, red, and green and it can be seen for up to 15 nautical miles (28 km; 17 mi). The lighthouse is owned and operated by the municipality and it can be rented by tourists.[2]
