Zaina Agoro (born in Chicago, Illinois on the 7th of June), better known by her stage name Zaina, is a Nigerian American singer and songwriter.
Life and career
Zaina Agoro was born in Chicago, Illinois to Nigerian parents where she spent her early years. She began a career in singing after securing a law degree. During this period, she returned to Nigeria with the intention of bringing her experience home to her roots.[1]Zaina has gained recognition in the United States among the Nigerian community and received two nominations from the NEA awards 2008/2011.[2]
Zaina has worked with artists Eldee, Banky W, Styl Plus, Lynxx, Sauce Kid and Sasha. She has also shared the same stage with the likes of D'banj and 2face Idibia. She a performed at the NEA 2011 awards in New York.[3]
Zaina was signed to Soul Muzik in July 2012 [4] and has released 2 Singles[5] and one video.[6]
