Żarnowo [ʐarˈnɔvɔ] (German: Altsarnow) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stepnica, within Goleniów County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Stepnica, 23 km (14 mi) north-west of Goleniów, and 36 km (22 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has an approximate population of 400.
