The 1991-92 NBA season was Indiana's 16th season in the NBA and 25th season as a franchise.[1] The Pacers got off to a slow start as head coach Dick Versace was replaced by Bob Hill after 25 games. Under Hill, the Pacers finished the season strong posting a 30–23 record in the final four months as they finished fourth in the Central Division with a 40–42 record. Detlef Schrempf was named Sixth Man of The Year for the second consecutive season, averaging 17.3 points per game off the bench. In the first round of the playoffs, they faced the Boston Celtics for the second straight season, where they were swept in three straight games. Following the season, Chuck Person and Micheal Williams were both traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
