Chinese astronomy
In Chinese astronomy, 37 Tauri is the principal star of the asterism Moon (月) in the Hairy Head lunar mansion. In the Qing dynasty star chart Yixiang Kaocheng (仪象考成), the much fainter 39 Tauri was added to the asterism.
