The Princess and the Robot (Portuguese: A Princesa e o Robô) is a 1983 Brazilian animated film based on the Monica's Gang comic books. It was the second film based on Monica's Gang and the first to present an original story, since the other movies are just episodes of the cartoon, until the movie Uma Aventura no Tempo of 2007.[2]
Plot
At a small planet in the shape of heart, there is a pulsating star that ends up dropping through space and lands on another planet, called Cenourano, reaching a robot that is passionate about the princess of the kingdom where you live : Princess Mimi .
The Little Robot ( called the little robot characters ) dispute the love of the princess through a tournament against many opponents, among them is the Lord Coelhão, a space traveler in search of fortune and wealth. The tournament ends tied by Lord Coelhão little robot and then it is done the famous game of the coin, where the player chooses between heads or tails . Lord Coelhão singles crown and chooses little robot guy, so the coin is tossed the result is expensive .
Little robot wins the match, but Lord Coelhão ( jealous ) says that the little robot can not be the new boyfriend of the Princess, as it has a real heart . The King agrees, but says that the robot has a chance to win the love of the Princess : The robot must go to where the star is pulsating, pick it up and put inside your engine to have a true heart .
The King gives a little time for the robot to catch the star, the little robot get out of time Coelhão Lord will marry the princess.
After that the robot walks without knowing what to do in the streets of the kingdom when it is attacked by Lord Coelhão, which uses its radius packer (a kind of weapon that packs victims when it is released ) and transforms it into a gift box.
That done, Lord Coelhão sends his assistants to leave the package in a place far from Cenourano. The robot assistants ( led by Zoiudo, a species of dragonfly, accomplice of Lord Coelhão ) decide to throw the package on Planet Earth, which falls near the backyard Jimmy Five. The Impact of the fall is so strong, that the noise sounds like a blast. Monica and her friends hears the noise and runs to the direction of the package, open and release the little robot that tells how you came to Earth. After the story told the gang decides to help him, asking Franklin to build a ship. But they do not know peepers had fallen along with the package and was listening to all the talk of the class hiding behind a rock. This warns the Lord Coelhão children will help the little robot to find a heart.
