Alaska, Indiana
Alaska (also known as Sheasville) is a populated place in Owen County, Indiana, United States. The name was collected by the United States Geological Survey between 1976 and 1979, and entered into the Geographic Names Information System on February 14, 1979.[1]
The community was probably named in commemoration of the purchase of the Territory of Alaska.[2][3]
