Askola (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈaskola]) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 5,104 (31 March 2016)[2] and covers an area of 218.03 square kilometres (84.18 sq mi) of which 5.61 km2 (2.17 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 24.03 inhabitants per square kilometre (62.2/sq mi). Neighbouring municipalities are Myrskylä, Mäntsälä, Pornainen, Porvoo and Pukkila.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
