Barauli is a town and a notified area in Gopalganj district in the state of Bihar, India.
Geography
Barauli is located at 26°24′N 84°35′E / 26.4°N 84.58°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 65 metres (213 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Barauli had a population of 34,643. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Barauli has an average literacy rate of 41%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 64% of the males and 36% of females literate. About 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
