Caffeine dehydrogenase (EC 1.17.5.2) is an enzyme with systematic name caffeine:ubiquinone oxidoreductase.[1] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction

caffeine + ubiquinone (Q0 ox) + H2O 1,3,7-trimethylurate + ubiquinol (Q0 red)

Caffeine dehydrogenase is isolated from the soil bacterium Pseudomonas sp. CBB1.
