Firearm death rates in the United States by state
This article is a list of U.S. states with firearm death rates per 100,000 population.
In 2014, the overall rate of death by firearms in the United States was 10.3 per 100,000 people — the same as for death by motor vehicles — with suicides accounting for roughly two out of every three gun deaths.[1]
