George Davis IV (born August 5, 1987 in Lima, Ohio) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Louisville City in the United Soccer League.
Career
Youth and Amateur
Davis attended Elida High School and began his college soccer career at the Bowling Green State University, transferring to the University of Kentucky prior to his junior year. During his college years Davis also played with the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League.[1]
Following his final season at Kentucky, Davis joined the Dayton Dutch Lions in 2010 for their debut season in the USL Premier Development League in 2010, and played 16 games for the club, scoring 5 goals and contributing 7 assists.
Professional
Davis turned professional with the Lions following their self-promotion to the USL Professional Division in 2011.[2] He made his professional debut on April 16, 2011, in the Lions' season-opening game against the Charleston Battery.[3]
Davis signed with Los Angeles Blues of USL Pro on January 26, 2012.[4] After two years with the Blues, he joined Richmond.[5]
It was announced on January 15, 2016, that Davis had signed with Louisville City FC.
