Gilberto Pérez Valentín is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Maricao. Pérez is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and has served as mayor since 1993.[1][2] Has a Bachelor in Economics from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
After that, Pérez has been reelected five times (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012).[3]
