Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes is an upcoming 2018 British-American 3D computer-animated fantasy romantic comedy family mystery film directed by John Stevenson[1] and is the sequel to 2011's Gnomeo & Juliet. The film stars the voices of James McAvoy, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp. The film is produced by Rocket Pictures and, unlike the first film, which was financed and co-produced by Miramax and distributed by Touchstone Pictures, financed and co-produced by Paramount Animation and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and distributed by Paramount Pictures, making this the first film from Paramount Animation to be entirely animated (The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water had live action segments and Monster Trucks is a hybrid), as well as the first fully animated film from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer since Igor. The film is scheduled for release on January 12, 2018.[2]
