Grywałd [ˈɡrɨvau̯t] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krościenko nad Dunajcem, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Krościenko nad Dunajcem, 26 km (16 mi) east of Nowy Targ, and 76 km (47 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
The village has a population of 1,670.
The village was first mentioned in a written document in 1330 as Grunevald and in 1335 as Grunvald.[2]
