János Szabó (born 29 October 1937) is a Hungarian jurist and former politician, who served as Minister of Agriculture between 1993 and 1994.
The coalition between the Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF) and the Independent Smallholders, Agrarian Workers and Civic Party broke up in 1992. Szabó led the part of the parliamentary group which wanted to stay in the government (36 members). He became chairman of the United Smallholders' Party (EKGP), which was founded in 1993. He returned to the FKGP in 2002.
