Lipsy London
Lipsy is a women’s clothing brand established in London in 1988. Founded as a wholesale business producing party and occasion dresses, the company now has a multi-product clothing and accessory offering including licenses for eyewear, watches, fragrance and cosmetics. In 2008 Lipsy was acquired by Next PLC.,[1] the largest clothing retailer by sales in the United Kingdom. Next PLC [2] is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
Stores
UK & Ireland
Lipsy opened its first retail store in Brent Cross Shopping Centre, London, in October 2008 with a ribbon cutting by socialite and actress Kimberly Stewart.[3] In 2009, a further 12 stores opened their doors.
The company currently operates a total of 49 retail stores in the UK and Ireland[4] with its flagship store at Westfield White City Shopping Centre, London.
In November 2015 a new luxe hybrid store opened its doors on Church Street, Liverpool.
International
Lipsy operates from 40 international franchise locations with stores located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia Iraq, Georgia, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt and South Africa.

Celebrity collections
In April 2010, Lipsy launched a fashion range co-designed by British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott.[5] Following the success of the first Pixie Lott for Lipsy collaboration, a further three more collections were created over the next two years.[6]
In June 2010, Kimberly Wyatt, a former member of American pop group the Pussycat Dolls, was featured as the face of Lipsy watches[7] in the company's marketing campaign. Other well-known celebrities that have featured in Lipsy’s photoshoots include reality star Caggie Dunlop[8] in 2012, and model Georgia Salpa in 2013.[9]
Kardashian Collection
In 2013, Lipsy collaborated with Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian to create an exclusive range entitled "Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy", which launched in October 2013.[10] Within the first days of launch, the majority of the collection sold out.[11] The launch was crowned by Khloé’s visit to London, Amsterdam and Dubai in November 2013. Following the success of the first range, a second and third Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy was launched Spring Summer 2014.
Lipsy love Michelle Keegan
In 2014, Lipsy collaborated with British actress Michelle Keegan and launched the Lipsy Love Michelle Keegan Collection which won several awards including Fabulous magazine “High street fashion awards 2015” and Reveal magazine “Reveal online fashion awards 2015.”
Following the success of the collaboration the brand launched 12 more collections throughout 2015 and 2016.
Fleur East X Lipsy
In September 2015, Lipsy collaborated with 2014 X-Factor runner-up, Fleur East, for an all new collection. Following the success, a further capsule Fleur East by Lipsy collection was launched in November 2015 to coincide with Fleur’s appearance on X-Factor and the release of her first single Sax. In June 2016 Lipsy launched a summer 2016 range with Fleur.
Ariana Grande for Lipsy
In March 2016, Lipsy collaborated with American singer & actress, Ariana Grande, for a brand new and co-designed collection of clothing, headwear and jewellery. The clothing range featured prom and party dresses, jackets and a range of jewellery and accessories. An iconic red London bus unveiled the collection launch during February 2016, where bloggers and fashion icons attended to promote the event. The Ariana Grande collection was available to shop online and in Lipsy stores with a follow up collection launched in May 2016, also available in Lipsy stores and at Lipsy.com.[12]
Ranges
VIP
In 2008, Lipsy unveiled its VIP Collection, a limited edition capsule collection of premium party dresses. The collection is now a permanent part of Lipsy's dress offering and has seen the likes of Millie Mackintosh, Amy Jackson and Alex Gerrard front campaigns.
Fragrances
The first Lipsy fragrance Lipsy London was launched in October 2010 encased in a heart shaped faceted bottle. Boy band The Wanted performed at the launch party in central London.[13]
The second fragrance Love hit stores in 2012 and was celebrated with a DJ set by boy band JLS at the launch party.[14]
A third fragrance Glam launched in September 2013 featuring film and TV star of 90210, Jessica Lowndes.[15]
A fourth fragrance Caged launched in September 2014 and was presented in a clear faceted bottle, wrapped in a gold cage.
The fifth fragrance Caged Dream launched in October 2015. The fragrance was a lighter scent, adapted from the original ‘Caged’ fragrance. The scent is encased in a clear faceted bottle wrapped in a silver cage.
Sports
In 2015 Lipsy launched a Lipsy Sport collection consisting of sportswear designed to be worn both in and out of the gym. The range is a fusion of fashion and function and includes supportive racer crop tops, layering tanks, running shorts, leggings and slogan tees.
All Lipsy collections are sold in retail Lipsy stores as well as on line at Lipsy.com and through a mail order offering.
Lipsy&Co
In 2015 Lipsy launched Lipsy&Co, a multi-brand online offering including Boohoo.com, Superdry, Fiorelli and Faith. More than 100 brands can be accessed through lipsy.com and next.co.uk. These brands can also be shopped from the seasonal Lipsy&Co magazine which is distributed alongside the Next directory.

Lipsy is active on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and engages with its customers via these channels 24/7.
Lipsy works with the biggest international bloggers and vloggers including Jasmine Tosh, Emily Canham, Lydia Millen and Sarah Ashcroft, as well as running social media campaigns alongside Michelle Keegan and other celebrities and social media influencers.
