List of schools in Namibia

Namibia has 1,723 schools, 119 private schools and 1,604 government schools. As of August 2013, 26 additional schools were under construction, and most of the country nevertheless experiences a shortage of schools, school hostels, and classroom space. 24,660 teachers at Namibia's schools cater for total of 617,827 pupils.^[1]

Many Namibian schools are built in a uniform design that was suggested by the Chilean-born (turned Swedish citizen) architect Gabriel Castro, in the 1990s.^[2]
