Mierzęcice [mʲɛʐɛnˈt͡ɕit͡sɛ] is a village in Będzin County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Mierzęcice.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Będzin and 24 km (15 mi) north-east of the regional capital Katowice.
The village has a population of 2,676.
