Parliamentary elections will be held in Slovenia by July 2018.[1]
Electoral system
The 90 members of the National Assembly are elected by two methods; 88 are elected by open list proportional representation, with seats allocated using on the d'Hondt method based on an electoral threshold of 4%, whilst two are elected by the Italian and Hungarian minorities by first-past-the-post voting. Female candidates must make up at least 35% of candidates on electoral list, except in cases where there are only three members, when there must be at least one male and one female candidate.[2]
