Ogün Sanlısoy

Ogün Sanlısoy is a Turkish rock musician and pioneer among Turkish heavy metal vocalists.

Biography

Born in Gölcük, Kocaeli, Turkey in 12 March 1971, he graduated from Mimar Sinan University as an industrial product designer. His debut concert was an acoustic concert in which he performed with acoustic instruments with his friend Kubilay Özvardar.

He joined Mezarkabul (in Turkey widely known as Pentagram) in 1992 and contributed to the album Trail Blazer. After serving the band for three years, he was declared the best rock vocalist by two Turkish Rock magazines.

In 1995, he left to band to pursue his solo career but joined the band Klips, which had a softer tune than Mezarkabul. He also contributed to Özlem Tekin's debut album, Kime Ne.

In 2006, he worked with his former band mates Tarkan Gözübüyük and Metin Türkcan on his new album, Üç.
