Ortal (Hebrew: אוֹרְטַל) is an Israeli settlement and kibbutz in the northern Golan Heights. Located 915 meters above sea level and 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Katzrin,[2] it falls under the jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council. In 2015 it had a population of 321.
The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.[3]
Econonmy
The kibbutz's vineyard, affiliated with the Golan Winery, produces several varieties of grapes.[4]
