Parklands High School was a secondary school located in the Speke area of Liverpool, England. It closed in summer 2014 with pupils transferring to other local schools.[1]
The school was located on Ganworth Road in Speke, Liverpool.
The school opened in 2002 as a replacement for Speke Comprehensive School. The school was placed into special measures following a 2013 Ofsted inspection.[2]
In March 2016 it was revealed that Liverpool City Council is paying £12,000 a day to the developers of the school site under the Private finance initiative, even though the site lies empty. The council has stated that it has tried to find organisations to rent the building, with no success.[3]
