Phyllastrephus is a songbird genus in the family Pycnonotidae. They make up the typical greenbuls, though two are named brownbuls, and one is a leaflove.

Several species from Madagascar that were formerly placed here are now separated in Bernieria and Xanthomixis. Commonly called the Bernieria and the tetrakas, they are not bulbuls but Malagasy warblers similar to greenbuls due to convergent evolution.
