Plot
Luke (Nolan Gould) and Manny’s (Rico Rodriguez) prom is approaching and they both have someone in mind that they want to ask out. They respectively ask Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) for advice. Mitchell advices Luke on how to surprise his date while Cameron learns that Manny’s prospective date has been invited by another guy. As Cameron becomes very involved in finding another date for him, he confides to Manny that he actually never went to a prom. Mitchell manages to surprise Cam as he asks him to the prom, where they'll be chaperoning, while Manny is invited by another date and Luke accomplishes his goal.
Alex (Ariel Winter) is studying for her final exams and tries to avoid Ruben who still has feelings for her. At the end, she reluctantly accepts to dance with him.
Claire (Julie Bowen) learns that there might be a mole in the company. The mole is revealed to be her father's former assistant Ben; Jay (Ed O'Neill) asked him to survey Claire since he believes she won’t be able to control the company without him. Since Jay is injured by Joe while teaching him about bricolage, he tells Claire that he wants to be employed again since retirement makes him crazy.
Phil (Ty Burrell) helps Gloria (Sofía Vergara) to confront Auntie Alice, who specialises in stealing sauces and has consequently stolen Gloria's hot sauce. When Auntie Alice admits the sauce has been breveted, Phil manages to reverse the game, making Gloria the winner thanks to his real state agent profession and some remarks about Alice’s house.
