Qi County, also known as Qixian (Chinese: 祁县) is a county in central Shanxi Province, China. It is under the administration of Jinzhong city. It has a population of approximately 265,310. It is home of the Qiao Family Compound & Qu Family Compound.
The county is on the route of the Datong-Puzhou Railway, the primary axial railways of Shanxi Province. The railway links the county to the transport hub of Datong (approximately 7.5 hours), the provincial capital Taiyuan (approximately 1.5 hours away).
The county, itself designated a National Historic and Cultural City, is located near the UNESCO World Heritage Site at the Ancient City of Pingyao.
