Salem Township is one of twelve townships in Steuben County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,262 and it contained 1,214 housing units.[1]
Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 34.61 square miles (89.6 km2), of which 33.92 square miles (87.9 km2) (or 98.01%) is land and 0.69 square miles (1.8 km2) (or 1.99%) is water.[1] Lakes in this township include Big Turkey Lake, Black Lake, Henry Lake, Limekiln Lake, Little Turkey Lake and McClish Lake. The streams of Mud Creek, Mud Creek and Nettle Creek run through this township.
