Samantha Urbani
Samantha Urbani (born 1987) is an American singer, songwriter, visual artist, filmmaker, and producer from Mystic, Connecticut.[1] Born to Robin and Bob Urbani, she expressed interest in music, fashion, social activism, and performance from an early age. A graduate of Robert E. Fitch Senior High School (located in Groton, Connecticut), she briefly attended the New School in New York City.[2] Upon returning from a life altering trip to Germany; she formed internationally successful dance-punk band Friends.[3] After three years, a trio of singles, and the album Manifest! on Fat Possum records the group disbanded. Samantha then went on to collaborate and tour with Domino Records artist Dev Hynes for several years before embarking on a solo career of her own.[4]
