Weldon is a village in DeWitt County, Illinois, United States. The population was 429 at the 2010 census.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 440 people, 186 households, and 130 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,635.5 people per square mile (629.2/km²). There were 203 housing units at an average density of 754.6 per square mile (290.3/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.59% White, 0.68% Native American, 0.68% Asian, 1.36% from other races, and 0.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.23% of the population.
There were 186 households out of which 31.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.0% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.1% were non-families. 26.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.82.
In the village the population was spread out with 23.4% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 90.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.3 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $39,000, and the median income for a family was $46,000. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $20,625 for females. The per capita income for the village was $20,851. About 3.1% of families and 5.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 8.4% of those under age 18 and 6.1% of those age 65 or over.
Local high school
De Land-Weldon is a school district that services both towns and the surrounding areas. It is the smallest public high school in the state with a total enrollment of 50.[6]
