William Levering School is a historic school building located in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The original section was built in 1894-1896, and is a 2 1/2-story, five bay, stone building with a hipped roof in the Colonial Revival-style. A three-story, brick and stone Art Deco style addition designed by Irwin T. Catharine was built in 1928-1929.[2]
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.[1] In 2012, the School Reform Commission of the Philadelphia School District closed it as an elementary school;[3] it then reopened as a selective admission middle school, AMY Northwest.[4]
