Wipeout Pure: The Original Soundtrack is a soundtrack album of various electronica artists from the video game of the same name, released in 2005.
Wipeout Pure, released for Sony PlayStation Portable in 2005, is part of the Wipeout series of video games that pioneered the incorporation of electronic music by mainstream artists into the game.
The soundtrack album and the actual soundtrack of the video game do not contain exactly the same collections of music. The game (see Wipeout Pure music tracks) included songs by Tiësto, Plump DJs, Cosmos, T Power and Röyksopp that on the album were replaced by three previously unreleased tracks, numbers 17-19 below.
The artwork for the album was made by The Designers Republic in their typical futuristic style, in line with the artwork of the game and its future setting.
