Yuzuki-jō (湯築城) is a former Japanese castle near Dōgo Onsen in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. The Kōno clan ruled Iyo Province from Yuzuki from the fourteenth century. Fortified in the sixteenth century, the castle was destroyed by the army of Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1585 during the Sengoku period. Its ruins, excavated in 1988, now form part of Dōgo Park. A samurai complex has been reconstructed and the area is popular for its hanami.[1][2][3] The area has been designated an Historic Site.[4][5][6]
