Zgon, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Zgon [zɡɔn] (German: Sgonn; (1938-45:Hirschen)) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Piecki, within Mrągowo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.^[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of Piecki, 25 km (16 mi) south of Mrągowo, and 62 km (39 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. The village lies on national road 58.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.

The village has a population of 150.
