Cartura is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Padua in the Italian region Veneto, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Venice and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Padua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,268 and an area of 16.2 square kilometres (6.3 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Cartura contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cagnola and Gorgo.
Cartura borders the following municipalities: Bovolenta, Casalserugo, Conselve, Due Carrare, Maserà di Padova, Pernumia, San Pietro Viminario, Terrassa Padovana.
