Giá Rai is a district-level town or simply town (thị xã) of Bạc Liêu Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the town had a population of 125,690.[1] The district covers an area of 348 km². The district capital lies at Giá Rai.[1]
Administrative divisions
The town is divided into 3 wards: Hộ Phòng,[2] Phường 1 (formerly Gia Rai town), Láng Tròn (formerly Phong Thạnh Đông A commune) and 7 communes of Phong Thạnh, Phong Thạnh Đông, Phong Tân, Tân Phong, Phong Thạnh, Phong Thạnh Tây and Tân Thạnh.
